Warm Ups and Start Times

Officials

All officials will meet at 6:30am to go over assignments. Please have a starter and referee available. This allows for a rotation of officials during the meet.

Shifts

There will be two (2) shifts of timers, changing at two and a half (2.5) hour intervals. The 2 shifts for timers and recorders are as follows: 7:00 – 9:30am, 9:30 – 12:00 or the end of the meet. Subject to change based on meet timeline.

***Ribbon Writers Shifts are 8:00-10:30, 10:30-the end of the meet***

Timers/Recorders

There will be a Timer’s meeting at 6:30am to provide information and last-minute instruction. Timers from all shifts should attend this meeting.

We have a six-lane pool. Visiting teams should provide for each shift: 

two (2) timers for lanes 2, 4, and 6

one (1) timer for lanes 1, 3, and 5

one (1) recorder for lanes 1, 3, and 5.

Additional volunteers needed

• designated Head Timer, Starter, and Referee to rotate with the Kingsbrooke during the meet
• One (1) scorer per shift and one (1) verifier per shift. Please do not have more than these two persons per shift as our clubhouse room is very limited.
• Three (3) to four (4) Stroke and Turn officials (allows for a rotation during the meet)
• Two (2) Runners for each shift
• Two (2) Clerk of Course for each shift
• One (1) Heat Ribbon person for the 2nd shift
• One (1) to Two (2) Ribbon labelers/helpers -Shifts are 8:00-10:30 and 10:30-end of the meet
• Your head computer person – to be available in the clubhouse
• One (1) Marshall for each shift to help monitor your area

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us Thursday prior to the meet. Volunteers working any shift in the clubhouse, may pause to go out onto the clubhouse deck to observe their child(ren) swim. However, once their shift is over, we must ask that they vacate the clubhouse and not remain on the clubhouse deck to observe the rest of the meet. No children (swimmers and non- swimmers) may be in the clubhouse at any time – especially if they are wet. This is a blanket policy for their safety and the for the integrity of the clubhouse. We thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Equipment

Please bring your starting equipment, computer and printer (as a backup). Your head timer should also bring adequate stop watches to supply your team’s timers. Please note that. Kingsbrooke does not supply tents for visiting coaches, team members, or guests. If you would like for your coaches to have a tent on deck, you will need to provide it for them.

Flags

The backstroke flags at our pool are spaced at 5 yards.

Meet Set up

Your area for tent setup is to the left when facing the pool. You may use the lawn area both inside and outside of the fence. See meet setup diagram on the last page.

Parking

There is a small parking lot at the pool; Spots are first come, first serve. The pool parking lot includes three reserved handicapped spots and two spots reserved for Prince William County Police vehicles. There is plenty of parking on Braided Stream Drive and surrounding streets.

A gentle reminder…Be mindful not to part too close to the intersections, block driveways or mailboxes; and obey all signs for No Parking. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE GRASS.

VIOLATORS MAY BE TOWED AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE.

Directions

From Route 95 – Take exit 152B toward Manassas onto Dumfries Road/Route 234 North. Take the Nokesville Road/Route 28 S ramp toward US-17. Turn right onto Linton Hall Road/Route 619 (continue for 3.1 miles). Turn left onto Worthington Drive at light (continue for 1/2 mile). Turn right onto Braided Stream Drive. Pool is on the right.

From Route 66 – Take exit 43A toward Gainesville/Warrenton onto Lee Highway/Route 29 South. Turn left (at light) onto Linton Hall Road/Route 619 (continue for 2.8 miles). Turn right onto Worthington Drive at light (continue for 1/2 mile). Turn right onto Braided Stream Drive. Pool is on the right.
